Introducing Our Sustainability Strategy
Sustainability has become an essential component of Galadari Brothers’ corporate practices and operations, aligning with the Dubai Vision 2030.
Our Sustainability Strategy outlines how we will ensure sustainable operations and practices throughout the business, communities, and environments in which we operate. Galadari will work to leverage our capabilities in order to strengthen our foundation.
Our Carbon Footprint
At Galadari, we understand that measuring our Greenhouse Gas emissions is a critical step in managing and reducing our environmental impact. To that end, we utilize the GHG protocol’s Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard which provides requirements and guidance for companies and other organizations preparing a corporate-level GHG emissions inventory.
We have different initiatives in place to reduce our environmental and carbon footprint, increase operational efficiency, and enhance our environmental sustainability. While some of these initiatives are done on a Group level, given the specific operational nature and needs of each division, several are undertaken on a division level.
Galadari Brothers is proud to be partnered with Mashreq to receive their inaugural green loan facility, marking a significant leap towards environmental sustainability. This facility serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment of both organisations to reducing energy consumption and emissions while addressing the pressing issue of climate change.
The sustainable finance will be directed to support green retrofits and energy efficiency technologies in Galadari Brother’s flagship hotel property in Sri Lanka.
Galadari Heavy Equipment Division proudly unveiled the launch of a new company-wide plastic bottle recycling initiative. The mission is clear: fostering environmental sustainability and waste reduction. The UAE leadership has set a clear vision of a future powered by clean and sustainable practices. By embracing this new initiative, the division aims to support the leaderships vision and contribute to a greener future, setting an example for corporate responsibility in the industry.
Galadari Automobiles took a significant step forward in its commitment to environmental sustainability by initiating a paper recycling campaign that brought together individuals from all their locations. This concerted effort resulted in the recycling of a substantial 1.7 tons of wastepaper, underscoring our dedication to making a tangible impact on environmental conservation.
Galadari Group recently conducted a cancer awareness session which was hosted by Dr. Fatemeh Aghanasiri from Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Centre. The session covered various topics such as types of cancers, treatments, early detection and more. An engaging and educational seminar aimed to equip employees with valuable information about the disease. This initiative aims to create a more health-conscious and informed community within the workplace.
